Western Railway Museum

At the Western Railway Museum, you can find over 100 pieces of preserved railroad equipment. Our collection of historic electric railway artifacts is one of the most complete and diverse in the world- including interubans, streetcars, PCC’s parlor cars, electric locomotives and a Birney Safety Car.

The Visitor Center is inspired by the southern Pacific’s Atascadero, CA station, circa 1924. Filled with exhibits and displays, it tells the story of electric railroading from 1890-1960, and how railroads changed the way we travel from work, to school, and for fun.

Housing thousands of photographs, books, records, signs and drawing, the Library is open to the public on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month.

Laflin Park offers a delightful picnic and party spot for your family. Here you’ll find over an acre of lush green grass, wooden picnic tables, and full grown shade trees.
